Have you ever left for your holiday, gotten to the airport and felt like you were forgetting something? Did you leave the oven on or the garage open? You try to shake the feeling as you take off from Melbourne Airport, but it's only when you arrive at your destination and open up your suitcase do you realise what has happened.
You didn't leave the oven on and you definitely closed the garage. But you did forget to pack all your underwear.
There's always something, so we're warning you ahead of time: don't forget to pack these items! So without further ado, here are the top five things travellers always forget when jet-setting.
1. Phone charger
How could you? Not only do you need your phone to take epic pictures and send Snapchats of all your crazy adventures, but you need it to just plain communicate and navigate. Oh well, you can buy a new one in the airport. It's always nice to have a backup charger at home, isn't it?
2. Hair brushes
You've just gotten off a long flight and you want to freshen up but you've just found out your hair brush is nowhere to be found. And it's not like the hotel room gives you a complementary hairbrush alongside those mini shampoos and soaps. Well, it kind of works out since you forgot your phone charger – now people don't have to see how messy your hair has gotten without your brush!
3. Swim suits
What a blow out. Leading up to the holiday, you probably scoured the web for the perfect suit to show off on the beach and on your Instagram. But you left it hanging on the back of your door because you thought you could never forget it there – where it's in plain sight. Shoot! Maybe you can find a cool souvenir suit though.
It only gets worse for your hygiene.
4. Toothpaste
It only gets worse for your hygiene. Toothpaste is almost always left back on the sink. You can always purchase a new tube but it's aggravating when you know you have a completely full one back at home.
5. Headphones
You may have discovered this one on the plane. Is there anything more irritating than leaving your headphones behind? You can buy a new pair once you get through security, but they're going to be expensive, unfortunately.
Make sure you have all these before you officially zip up your suitcase and go on holiday. And don't forget to leave your car with us here at Pacific Airport Parking so you don't forget where you have parked your car as well! We'll find you a safe spot so you don't have to worry about it at all!
